Conflict- and trauma-sensitive approaches
What is breeze?
We aim to advance peace education in Europe by developing and integrating conflict- and trauma-sensitive approaches into youth work.
Three actions, one purpose:
we embrace change, empower communities
and engage people.
Project
Bringing renewal and clarity to the field, the project creates a new approach to support young people affected by conflict and displacement across Europe: Transformative Conflict- and Trauma Sensitivity.
Our journey begins with comprehensive research, building an evidence base that shapes our educational approach. We organise international workshops and publish research reports to raise awareness and promote knowledge exchange. This shapes our educational resource pack with practical materials for youth workers supporting conflict-affected young people.
Youth practitioners will develop specialized competencies during a 12-day training program in Georgia, forming a community of practice that implements pilot education programs across Ukraine, Georgia, Germany, Spain, and Italy.
To sustain momentum, we’ll organize practitioner forums and local events where youth workers exchange methods and build partnerships. Our interactive web platform serves as a central hub where peace educators can access resources, share knowledge, and connect across borders—ensuring these innovative approaches continue to spread throughout Europe.
